regional skin temperature response to moderate aerobic exercise measured by infrared thermography

چکیده
conclusions there were significant distinctions in the skin temperature distribution during exercise according to the activity of the area under consideration during exercise, which may be important in the development of physiological models and heat flux analyses for different purposes. results during pre-exercise, all tsk reached a steady-state (p ≤ 0.05), which ensured adequate thermal stabilisation. at the beginning of exercise, there was a significant reduction in the tsk in most rois after 10 minutes of activity, except for the lower limbs (legs and thighs). after one hour of recovery, in the anterior view of the hands and thighs and in the posterior view of the legs, there were significant increases in the tsk compared to pre-exercise. background infrared thermography (irt) does not require contact with the skin, and it is a convenient, reliable and non-invasive technique that can be used for monitoring the skin temperature (tsk). objectives the aim of this study was to monitor the variations in the regional tsk during exercise on 28 regions of interest (rois) (forehead, face, chest, abdomen, back, lumbar, anterior and posterior neck, and posterior and anterior views of the right and left hands, forearms, upper arms, thighs, and legs) with irt. patients and methods 12 physically active young males were monitored with irt during the following three phases: a) 30 minutes before exercise b) while performing one hour of moderate intensity exercise on a treadmill at 60% of the vo2max, and c) 60 minutes after exercise.

Skin temperature response to unilateral training measured with infrared thermography
This study aimed to identify the skin temperature (Tsk) behavior to understand the acute cross-effect after unilateral training of lower-limbs. Seventeen healthy young men (weight, 75.2±5.5 kg; height, 1.8±0.1 m; age, 22.5±1.6 years) were divided into two groups: high-trained (n=8) and low-trained (n=9). All participants performed: (a) one-repetition maximum (1RM) testing protocol on the leg pr...
متن کاملMeasuring skin temperature before, during and after exercise: a comparison of thermocouples and infrared thermography.
Measuring skin temperature (TSK) provides important information about the complex thermal control system and could be interesting when carrying out studies about thermoregulation. The most common method to record TSK involves thermocouples at specific locations; however, the use of infrared thermal imaging (IRT) has increased. The two methods use different physical processes to measure TSK, and...
متن کاملComparative effectiveness of videothermography, contact thermography, and infrared beam thermography for scanning relative skin temperature.
Videothermography (Video TRM), infrared beam thermography (IRTHRM), and contact thermography (Contact TRM) are utilized to detect asymmetries in temperatures between paired limbs. This information is controversially used in many diagnostic procedures in rehabilitation medicine. In this study, the effectiveness of the above techniques for scanning skin heat patterns and detecting asymmetries is ...
متن کاملVulvar skin temperature changes significantly during estrus in swine as determined by digital infrared thermography
Materials and methods: The experimental groups consisted of 25 gilts and 27 multiparous sows. Infrared VST and gluteal skin temperature (GST) were measured twice daily (8:00 am and 4:00 pm) using a thermal-imaging camera (Fluke IR FlexCam; Fluke Corporation, Everett, Washington). Once standing estrus was observed, transrectal real-time B-mode ultrasonography was performed twice daily (8:00 am a...
متن کاملInfrared thermography for high-temperature pressure pipe
High-temperature pressure pipelines are extensively used in petrochemical plant and power stations. Severe pits or wall loss defects can be internally produced after a certain period of time due to media corrosion and cavitation erosion. These defects finally lead to leakage of the pipes. In order to search for a good non-destructive method for these defects, a large pipe testing installation w...
متن کاملPatellar Skin Surface Temperature by Thermography Reflects Knee Osteoarthritis Severity
BACKGROUND Digital infrared thermal imaging is a means of measuring the heat radiated from the skin surface. Our goal was to develop and assess the reproducibility of serial infrared measurements of the knee and to assess the association of knee temperature by region of interest with radiographic severity of knee Osteoarthritis (rOA). METHODS A total of 30 women (15 Cases with symptomatic kne...
